Panthers run past Wildcats

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Sophomore Jacob Tresser picked up three goals for the JWU (Providence) men's lacrosse team in a 13-6 loss to Plymouth State University Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Panther Field.

Juniors Jacob Graham and Jack Donnelly, along with freshman Nate Cowell, also scored for the Wildcats, who also received a 10-for-17 performance at the X from senior Thomas Haggerty.

JWU trailed 8-2 at the half as Cowell and Tresser each found the back of the net in the opening 30. A pair of goals from Tresser to close the third, followed by another off the stick of Graham to open the fourth, brought the Wildcats to within five at 10-5.

The Panthers responded with three unanswered to pull ahead by eight (13-5) with seven minutes remaining in regulation.

Haggerty paced JWU with seven ground balls, followed by Graham with five. Both Donnelly and Tresser caused a pair of turnovers. Goalkeepers Ethan Moshier and Tom Packer combined for 13 saves.
