Ava Morgan racked up a goal and an assist for the JWU (Providence) women's ice hockey team in a 4-2 win on Senior Day over the University of New England Saturday afternoon in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Lynch Arena.

Allyson Barry (1G),
Kylie O'Keefe (A), and
Alexia Labre (1A), all found their way onto the scoresheet following a pregame ceremony as the Wildcats pulled within one win of the single-season program record of 11, set during the 2021-22 campaign.
Sophomore
Teagan Garfield opened the scoring 10 minutes into the first, pouncing on a rebound off a shot from sophomore
Cailean Corbally to pot her second goal of the season.
Barry doubled the lead with a point shot that found its way into the net at 8:59 of the second. UNE (9-12-1, 5-9-1 CNE) cut its deficit in half with a shorthanded marker at 17:03 of the second.
The Wildcats regained a two-goal lead with 18 seconds left in the period on a goal from sophomore
Ava Morgan. Junior
Brynn Leahy let go of a slapper from the right wing boards that struck the facemark of Morgan and trickled into the net. Sophomore
Kailin Kane scored off a pass from classmate
Grace Adams 17 seconds into the third to make it 4-1.
Sophomore
Katelyn Cardoso stopped 24 shots to earn her seventh win of the season. JWU finished the afternoon with a 34-26 edge in shots and went 1-for-4 on the PP.
