Game Recap: Men's Ice Hockey |

No. 7 Endicott downs Wildcats, 6-2

BEVERLY, Mass. – The JWU (Providence) men's ice hockey team fell to No. 7 Endicott College 6-2 Thursday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Junior Chris Alexander and sophomore Cullen Hennessy scored goals for the Wildcats while junior Connor Nelson, sophomore Bret Beale, and freshman Brad Guden each registered an assist.

Alexander's sixth goal of the season midway through the first tied the game at one. The Gulls responded with four unanswered goals to take a 5-1 lead early in the third. Hennessy cut the JWU deficit to 5-2 at 3:21 of the third before Endicott added an empty-netter at 18:48.

Sophomore netminder Maxim Zinchenko stopped 46 shots as JWU was outshot 51-29. Hennessy led the Wildcats with four shots while freshman Jack Gerne won 8-of-15 face-offs.
