Alvin Baez poured in 28 points for the JWU (Providence) men's hockey team in a 75-73 loss Hartford University Saturday afternoon in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Chase Family Arena.
The Providence, Rhode Island native added nine boards, five dimes and four steals for the Wildcats (3-17, 2-9 CNE), who held an eight-point lad at the break before the Hawks outscored them by 10 over the final 20 minutes.

Azariah Harrison canned five three-pointers and finished with 23 points and four steals while graduate student
Silas Sawtelle netted 12 points. The Hawks (12-8, 4-5 CNE) outrebounded the Wildcats 41-30, shot 49 percent from the field, and saw four student-athletes reach double-figures in scoring.
Sawtelle connected on a triple to give the Wildcats an 11-point lead eight minutes into the second half. The Hawks responded with a 12-0 run to move in front 59-57. After JWU knotted the score at 59 on a basket from Baez, the home team took the lead for good on a three-pointer with 4:55 to go.
