EAST BOSTON, Mass. – Junior
Brad Crook scored his second goal of the season for the JWU (Providence) men's ice hockey team in a 4-1 loss to Suffolk University Saturday evening in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Porrazzo Skating Rink.
The short-handed tuck cut the Wildcats deficit in half at the time (2-1) with seven minutes left in the second. The Rams, meanwhile, outshot JWU 44-21and improved to 10-7-1 with the win (10-3-1 CME).
Suffolk scored late in the first and 49 seconds into the second to build a two-goal lead. The game remained at 2-1 heading into the third, when the Rams struck at 2:46 to regain their two-goal cushion at 3-1. An empty-netter with 1:39 remaining capped the scoring.

Maxim Zinchenko stopped 40 shots for the Wildcats (6-9-1,4-7-0 CNE). Senior captain
Davis Bone was dominant in the face-off circle, winning 19-of-28 draws (68 pct.), and freshman
Brad Guden paced the visitors with four shots.
