PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) men's basketball team was defeated by Gordon College 86-64 Tuesday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at the Wildcat Center.

Silas Sawtelle scored a team-high 18 points for the Wildcats (1-16, 0-8 CNE), who also received 14 points from junior
Alvin Baez and a career-high 10 from freshman
Landon Bodington.
Freshman
Omar Grullon chipped in with nine points in 28 minutes off the bench for JWU, which was outrebounded 43-33 and shot 39 percent from the field. Graduate student
Dylan Hooter snared a team-high seven boards while Baez corralled six and freshman
Colin Rice grabbed five.
The Fighting Scots (6-11, 5-3 CNE) knocked down 53 percent of their shots and 19-of-23 from the charity stripe. They saw five student-athletes score in double-figures, led by Isaac Jarvis with 24 points (10-of-14 FG).
