BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore
Isabelle Suero knocked down four triples and finished with 14 points in a 79-36 win for the JWU (Providence) women's basketball team over Wenworth Wednesday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Tansey Gymnasium.
Suero also notched four steals and classmate
Grace Jaffrey finished her night with 20 points, six rebounds, two dimes and two steals as the Wildcats moved to 11-4 with the win (4-1 CNE).
Sophomore
Mia Jiminez racked up 11 points, four rebounds and three steals in her third second game with JWU, which held the Leopards to 25 percent shooting (12-of-49) and scored 27 points off 25 WIT turnovers.
Freshman
Julia Blum filled the stat sheet with eight points, five rebounds, two steals and two assist while junior
Alexa Lora chipped in with seven points off the bench and sophomore
Brianne Foley notched six points and seven rebounds.
The Wildcats shot 42 percent from downtown (14-of-34) and closed the night at 36 percent from the field. They outscored the Leopards 18-4 in the second to build a 38-14 halftime lead and never looked back,
