Wildcats open fall at Shawn Nassaney Invitational

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) women's cross country team opened the 2025 season with a seventh-place finish at the Shawn M. Nassaney Invitational at Bryant University Saturday morning.

Sophomore Caroline Carter led all Wildcat student-athletes with a 40th place finish (20:20.7) on the 5k course. Junior Lulani Haslinger was next for head coach Ben Finnigan in 43rd place (20:32.3), followed by freshman Josie Spaulding in 48th place (20:41.9).
 
Senior Avery Goshert placed 66th overall for the Wildcats, ahead of freshman Lily Hurst in 78th place (23:51.4) and senior Allison Borduin in 84th place (24:25.8).
