PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Junior
Jessica Lee scored her third goal of the season late in the second half for the JWU (Providence) women's soccer team, which defeated Babson College 1-0 Sunday afternoon in non-conference action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
Sophomore
Jamie Davies set up the goal as the Wildcats improved to 4-5-1 on the season and handed the Beavers (3-1-4) their first loss of 2025. The match marked the completion of a contest which began on Friday, August 29 but was suspended in the first half due to lightning.
With time winding down in the match, Davies fed the ball through the defense to Lee, who stepped around the keeper to her left and slid the ball into an empty net at 85:51.
Junior
Ava Vaughan played the first 17:42 of the match last month and notched three saves, but freshman
Kyla Stamilio started today and was credited with six saves to run her record to 3-1-0.
