PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Salve Regina University Wednesday night in non-conference action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

The Wildcats (2-5-1) – who outshot the Seahawks 10-2 over the final 45 minutes – allowed the only goal of the match at 63:59 to Olivia Tacconi. JWU freshman goalkeeper Kyla Stamilio finished the match with one save and moved to 1-1-0 on the season.

Junior Jessica Lee received a penalty kick in the opening minute of the second half, but her effort sailed just over the crossbar. Freshman Sofia Soares paced the Wildcats with three shots.
