PAXTON, Mass. – Junior
Vincent Tredici broke a 1-1 tie with his first goal of the season with under 20 minutes remaining in regulation to lift the JWU (Providence) men's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Anna Maria College Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action at Caparso Field.
Freshman
Gabriel Soares also scored for the Wildcats, who improved to 3-2-3 with the win.
Soares opened the scoring with his first collegiate tally 17:40 into the match. After the AMCats drew even 15 minutes into the second half, Tredici notched his fifth career goal and the first game-winner of his career.
Junior
Alexander Nardolillo turned aside eight shots to notch his third win of the season in a match which saw JWU held a 17-13 edge in shots. Tredici was one of four Wildcats with three shots.
