Millett's goal sends Wildcats to 1-0 win over Bison

DUDLEY, Mass. – Sophomore Rayne Millett scored the only goal of the game early in the fourth quarter to propel the JWU (Wildcats) to a 1-0 win at Nichols College Saturday afternoon in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Vendetti Field.

The win marked the fourth shutout of the season for the Wildcats, who climbed to 5-1 with the win (2-0 CNE). JWU outshot the Bison 24-10 and held a 7-1 advantage on penalty corners.

JWU held a 16-3 edge in shots through the first 30 minutes of action, but the contest entered the half scoreless. Millett finally broke through for the visitors 2:47 into the fourth with her first goal of 2025.

Junior Sophia Brea notched six saves to move to 5-1 on the season. Sophomore Susannah Brown led all student-athletes with seven shots while Millett, along with juniors Hannah Geil and Emily Downing, each had three.
