Sierra Nausieda racked up 17 digs and also handed out six assists to spark the JWU (Providence) women's volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Westfield State University Wednesday night in non-conference action at the Wildcat Center. The Wildcats won 25-19, 25-9, 25-22.
Sophomore
Nevaeh Arnold tallied a team-high 10 kills (.368 hitting pct.) as the Wildcats moved to 5-2 on the season – their best start since 2019, when they opened the season with wins in 11 of their first 12 matches. Freshman
Vivi Mansfield filled the stat sheet with eight kills, five digs, and three aces while sophomore
Bailey Koopman registered six kills and a .385 hitting pct.
JWU rallied from a 10-3 hole in the first set to win by six, then posted a .333 hitting percentage in the second to go in front two games to none. The Owls (1-6) head leads of 15-11 and 19-15 in the third before the Wildcats won 10 of the next 13 points.
