Zofia Bangs scored her first two goals of the season for the JWU (Providence) field hockey team in a 3-0 win over Salem State University Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Emma Ferrara added her first tally of the season for the Wildcats (2-1), who waited over four days to notch their second win of 2025. The contest began on Saturday at 4:45 pm and was delayed several times by lightning before eventually being suspended with JWU leading by a pair.
Ferrara opened the scoring on Saturday with a goal 13:39 into the contest off a feed form junior
Emily Downing. Bangs doubled the lead 4:50 into the second half before the game was halted, then scored again at 53:51 this afternoon.

Sophia Brea made four saves to earn her second win of the season; senior
Rebecca Johnson played 7:11 on Saturday and was not credited with a save. Bangs led all student-athletes with five shots.
