PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) volleyball team picked up a pair of 3-0 wins over Nazareth and Wheaton (MA) on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at the Wildcat Center. With the wins, the Wildcats are 3-0 for the first time since 2017.
Wildcats 3, Golden Flyers 0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-9)
Sophomore
Nevaeh Arnold paced the Wildcat offense with nine kills (.471 hitting pct.) while freshman
Vivi Mansfield notched seven, sophomore
Bailey Koopman went for five, and freshman
Brooke Caquelin tallied four. Senior
Sierra Nausieda recorded 10 digs and a pair of service aces and freshman
Sophia Santacroce filled the stat sheet with 17 assists, three aces and three digs.
Wildcats 3, Lyons 0 (25-23, 25-21, 25-22)
Arnold and Mansfield each racked up nine kills as JWU posted a team hitting pct. of .289. Nausieda collected a team-high 12 digs while Arnold and Caquelin each tallied seven. Santacroce handed out 19 assists and also finished with five digs. Arnold and Koopman paced the Wildcats with four blocks each.
