Jordan Thibodeau found the back of the net for the JWU (Providence) men's soccer team in a 3-2 season-opening defeat to Bridgewater State University Friday night in non-conference action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Alexander Nardolillo stopped six shots in goal for the Wildcats, who were outshot 18-13 on the evening – including 10-5 in the second half. Junior
Christopher Vargas was credited with assists on both JWU goals.
Thibodeau opened the scoring 2:58 into the contest before the Bears evened the score less than 60 seconds later. Andrade put the home team back on top with a marker at 15:32, however Bridgewater State drew even at 26:55. Gavin Norton potted the eventual GWG with seven minutes remaining in the match.
