NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sophomore
Jack Davis tallied eight points to lift the JWU (Providence) men's lacrosse team to a 17-6 win at Albertus Magnus College Wednesday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) at Celentano Field.
Davis threw in five goals and handed out three assists to help the Wildcats pick up their fifth win of the season (2-3 GNAC). Senior
Jackson Vecchio notched five points on two goals and three apples while freshman
Jacob Tresser picked up his third hat trick of the season.
Seniors
Kyle Marcinko and
Donny McInnis each found the back of the net twice as a total of 10 different JWU student-athletes recorded at least one point. Sophomore
Ethan Mosier topped seven shots to earn his first collegiate win.
The Wildcats outshot the Falcons 54-15 and forced 24 turnovers as Vecchio, sophomore
Trevor Reid, and freshman
Tyler Chiccino each caused two. Junior
Thomas Haggerty collected a game-high 13 ground balls, winning 17-of-22 at the X.
