Gould, Connor each score four in 14-7 triumph over Pride

WESTON, Mass. – Seniors Madeleine Gould and Neely Connor each racked up seven points for the JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse team in a 14-7 win at Regis (MA) College Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) at Regis Stadium.

Both student-athletes scored four goals and handed out three assists as the Wildcats moved to 7-3 on the season (5-1 GNAC). Juniors Izzy Babb and Mila Kuilan each netted two goals while senior Isabella Nugent and freshman Susannah Brown both tallied once.

Gould struck for three goals in the opening 15 minutes to help JWU build a 7-2 lead after one. Each team scored twice in the second before the visitors outscored the Pride 5-1 in the decisive third quarter to pull ahead by eight at 13-5. Kuilan and Conner each scored twice in the aforementioned stanza.

Conner filled the stat sheet with five caused turnovers, five ground balls, and one draw control. Junior Fara Holland, meanwhile, caused four turnovers while Kuilan notched four GB's and caused three turnovers. Senior Emma Glyman recorded five saves to earn her seventh win of the season.
