Blue Jays upend Wildcats in men's lacrosse

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – The JWU (Providence) men's lacrosse team suffered a 14-3 setback to the University of Saint Joseph Wednesday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the USJ Lacrosse Field.

Senior Donny McInnis, along with sophomore Jacob Graham and freshman Greyson Doyle, each registered a goal and an assist for the Wildcats, who were outshot 46-30. Sophomore Jack Davis also found the back of the net and caused a pair of turnovers.

The Blue Jays raced out to a 7-0 lead in the first and extended the lead to 10-2 at halftime. Freshman Andrew Sforza got the start in net for JWU and recorded one save before being lifted in favor of sophomore Ethan Mosier, who finished with 16 stops.

Seniors Donny McInnis and David Hill, along with Davis and freshman Tyler Chiccino, all caused two turnovers.
