CHICOPEE, Mass. – The JWU (Providence) softball team scored 34 runs on 37 hits as it swept a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader from Elms College Wednesday afternoon at Condon Field

Game One: Wildcats 26, Blazers 0 (5 inn.)
The Wildcats scored 14 runs in the second and never looked back. Senior Mackenzie Clee went 4-for-5 with two doubles and four RBI while sophomore Amanda Madigan had a pair of two-run singles and finished 3-for-3 with four RBI and three runs scored. Sophomore Jessica Forneiro laced a two-run triple and drove in four, senior Hailey Martins ripped a three-run double and plated four, and both senior Danielle Floyd and junior Jadyn Torres racked up two RBI. Senior Katie Scheid allowed one walk over five shutout innings and won her ninth game of the season.

Game Two: Wildcats 8, Blazers 0 (5 inn.)
Freshman Morgan Pelletier drove in three runs with a bases-clearing triple in the fourth and junior Mady Lyons had a pair of sac flies to propel JWU to a win in game two. Clee and Pelletier both collected two hits and junior Jillian Reed fanned six over five shutout innings as she notched her seventh win of the season.
