Wildcats deal Blue Jays 16-5 loss

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Senior Madeleine Gould and junior Mila Kuilan each struck for four goals to propel the JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse team to a 16-5 win at the University of Saint Joseph (CT) Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the USJ Lacrosse Field.

Senior Neely Connor filled the stat sheet with three goals, three ground balls, three caused turnovers, and one assist as the Wildcats pushed their record to 9-3 on the season (7-1 GNAC). Freshman Kelsey Higgins tallied three times and junior Izzy Babb handed out three assists in a game which saw the visitors outshoot the Blue Jays, 33-11 – including 21-4 in the first half which closed with JWU in front, 12-3.

Gould and classmate Isabella Nugent each won eight draw controls while Higgins and sophomore Alyssa Morrison both caused two turnovers. Senior Emma Glyman won her ninth game of the season with a three-save effort.
