PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse team cruised to a 17-1 win over Simmons University Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
Senior 
Madeleine Gould paced the Wildcats (3-0) with seven goals, five draw controls, and one assist while classmate 
Neely Connor filled the stat sheet with six ground balls, four draw controls, three caused turnovers, two goals, and two assists. JWU held a 41-7 advantage in shots and forced 26 turnovers as the Sharks went 9-of-19 on clear attempts.
Senior 
Mila Kuilan picked up a hat trick while both senior 
Isabella Nugent and junior 
Izzy Babb netted two goals each. Freshman 
Ava Wacha led the home team with seven ground balls to go with three caused turnovers, and classmate 
Emma Stein also racked up three caused turnovers.
Gould scored the first three goals of the game to propel the Wildcats to a 4-0 lead after one and a 9-0 lead at the half.
