Donny McInnis scored five goals – including the 100th of his career – for the JWU (Providence) men's lacrosse team in a 17-2 win over Southern Maine Friday evening in non-conference men's lacrosse action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
The North Haven, Connecticut native became the fifth student-athlete in program history to reach the century mark as the Wildcats climbed above the .500 mark at 3-2 on the season. Freshman and reigning Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Rookie of the Week
Jacob Tresser found the back of the net four times and now has 11 goals through his first five collegiate outings.

Jack Donnelly racked up five points (3-2-5) for JWU while classmate
Jack Davis tallied a goal and two assists, and freshman
Owen Centeio scored his first collegiate goal. Senior
Kyle Marcinko (1-1-2), along with freshmen
Greyson Doyle and
Matthew Bancroft, all picked up a goal and an assist in the win.
The Wildcats outshot the visitors 49-22 and forced 36 turnovers with Davis and Donnelly each causing three. Freshman goalie
Andrew Sforza played the first half and made two saves to lift his record to 3-2 while junior
Thomas Haggerty collected a game-high 11 ground balls and sophomore
Jake Inzirillo caused four turnovers.
