Jack Davis collected two goals and two assists for the JWU (Providence) men's lacrosse program in a 9-7 loss at Eastern Connecticut State University Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action at Rick McCarthy Field.
Senior
Jackson Vecchio added two goals and an assist for the Wildcats, who received two goals from sophomore
Jack Donnelly and two assists from senior
Donny McInnis. Senior
David Hill and Donnelly each notched a team-high five ground balls.
Donnelly and Vecchio each struck for first quarter goals as JWU trailed 3-2 after one. Each team scored three times in the second to send the game to the half with the Warriors down by one at 6-5.
In the third, the home team extended their lead to 8-5 before goals from Davis and Donnelly brought JWU back to within one after three. The Warriors – who were outshot by one (35-34) – held the Wildcats off the board in the fourth.
