KISSIMMEE, Fla. – The JWU (Providence) softball team secured its first two wins of the season with a sweep of North Central (MN) Tuesday at The Spring Games in Florida.

Jessica Forneiro went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and freshman
Harper Ellis had a pair of run-scoring singles as the Wildcats rolled to their first win of the season. Freshman
Morgan Pelletier also plated a pair with a two-run single in the second in support of freshman starter
Hailey Cardiello, who fanned seven over five one-hit innings to notch her first collegiate win.

Mady Lyons smacked a solo home run and drove in three runs, seniors

Danielle Floyd each laced a two-run single to spark the JWU offense. Senior

Katie Scheid allowed two hits and one run with two walks and four strikeouts in five innings of work.
