BALTIMORE, Md. – Sophomore
Henry Melanson belted his first collegiate home run for the JWU (Providence) baseball team in a 4-2 loss to No. 25 Penn St.-Harrisburg Sunday afternoon in non-conference action at Babb Field.
Melanson finished the afternoon with two of the Wildcats four hits for the Wildcats, who struck out 13 times against the Nittany Lions. Senior

Ryan Ducey also recorded a hit for JWU.
Ducey opened the scoring in the third with an RBI double to center that scored senior
Ryan St. Jean. Penn State pushed across three in the fifth and one in the sixth to move in front, 4-1, before Melanson's round tripper over the left field wall brought the Wildcats to within two. JWU then went down 1-2-3 in the eighth and ninth to close the game.
Junior
Max Randazzo fanned six over five innings of three-hit ball and took the loss. The Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania native allowed three earned runs and walked four before being lifted in favor of classmate
Brett Nickerson, who allowed one hit and one run in four innings of work.
