Women's Lacrosse moves to 2-0 with 21-1 win over Mitchell

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Junior Mila Kuilan scored six goals for the JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse team in a 21-1 win over Mitchell College Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Conference.

Senior Madeleine Gould added four goals and three assists for the Wildcats (2-0, 1-0 GNAC), who outshot the Mariners 34-1 and forced 21 turnovers. Senior Neely Connor also netted four goals while freshmen Ava Wacha and Emma Cantu, along with sophomore Alyssa Morrison, all collected their first collegiate goals.

Senior Isabella Nugent led JWU with a game-high 11 draw controls while Gould registered seven and Connor added four. Conner racked up a game-high nine ground balls and Gould finished with eight.

The Wildcats led 10-0 less than 10 minutes into the contest and settled into a 15-0 halftime lead. The Mariners spoiled the home team's shutout bid with a tally with 4:26 remaining.
