PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) women's hockey team dropped a 4-0 decision to Curry College Saturday evening in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Lynch Arena.
The Wildcats (9-11-2, 6-8-2 CNE) outshot the Colonels 20-18 – including 8-4 in the third period – but were stymied by CC netminder Sarah Kerr, who notched her sixth win of the season.
The visitors scored 13 minutes into the first to take a 1-0 lead into the intermission, then struck for two more in the second, one of which came with 1:23 remaining in the period. The closed the scoring with their fourth goal 16 seconds into the third.
