PAWTUCKET, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) men's ice hockey team was defeated by No. 9 University of New England 3-0 Friday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Lynch Arena.

Sophomore netminder Jake Inzirillo turned aside 27 saves for the Wildcats (9-10-2, 4-8-2 CNE), who were outshot 30-18 and went 0-for-5 with the man advantage. The Nor'easters scored once in each period and were led by Nathan Chickering with two goals and an assist,.
