Blue Jays push back Wildcats, 78-62

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Senior Josh Zangerle dropped in a team-high 23 points for the JWU (Providence) men's basketball team in a 78-62 loss at the University of Saint Joseph (CT) in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action Wednesday night at James A. Calhoun Gymnasium.

Graduate student Mike Rogers added 13 points and three rebounds for the Wildcats, who shot 40 percent from the field (6-of-20 three-pointers) and were outrebounded 40-27. Junior Izaiah Shaw-Glen scored 13 points and pulled down seven boards off the bench and freshman Azariah Harrison chipped in with seven points before fouling out.

The Blue Jays led by 20 at halftime (41-21) and stretched their lead to as many as 28 midway through the second half. The home team never led their lead fall below 17 points until the final minute of the contest.
