No. 6 Endicott blanks Wildcats, 4-0

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – Sophomore Katelyn Cardoso made 37 saves for the JWU (Providence) women's hockey team in a 4-0 loss to No. 6 Endicott Friday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Lynch Arena.

The loss drops the Wildcats to 4-3-0 on the season (3-2-0 CNE) as the Gulls outshot them 41-16 – including 13-2 in the opening stanza. The Gulls 7-2-0 (4-1-0 CNE) scored the only goal they would need with 12 seconds remaining in the opening stanza before adding two in the second and another in the third.

Senior defenseman Allyson Barry led JWU with four shots on goal. Sophomore Marissa Lafferty won 6-of-13 face-offs for the Wildcats while junior Brynn Leahy and sophomore Reagan Safko each blocked four shots.
