Colin Rice scored a career-high 19 points for the JWU (Providence) men's basketball team in a 99-70 loss to Roger Williams University Tuesday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at the Wildcat Center.
The Boca Raton, Florida native also pulled down a career-high 11 boards for the Wildcats (1-7, 0-2 CNE), who were outrebounded 45-33 and outscored 32-9 on fast breaks. Junior
Alvin Baez filled the stat sheet with 17 points, five boards, four steals, and three dimes in 33 minutes while sophomore
Azariah Harrison scored nine points.
The Hawks shot 60 percent in the first half (18-of-30) and took a 51-33 lead into the locker room as three different student-athletes scored in double figures. JWU, meanwhile, saw Rice and Baez combine to score 21 in the opening stanza.
Roger Williams opened up a 30-point lead seven minutes into the second half and led by as many as 35 with five minutes to go. The Hawks finished the night shooting 44 percent from downtown (12-of-27) and were led by Ryan Hammarlund with 22 points.

Khalil Thompson netted a career-high eight points off the bench for JWU.
