Davies scores twice in 3-0 win at Curry

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Sophomore Jamie Davies scored a pair of goals to lift the JWU (Providence) women's soccer team to a 3-0 win at Curry College Saturday afternoon in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Walter M. Katz Field.

Senior Sophia Iovino scored her second goal of the season 7:23 into the match as the Wildcats moved to 4-2-0 in conference play. In the process, they climbed to within a game of .500 on the season at 6-7-1. Both of Iovino's goals in 2025 have been game-winners.

Junior captain Jessica Lee collected an assist on Davies first tally of the season at 65:24, which doubled the visitors lead. The Attleboro, Massachusetts native later capped the scoring at 71:25 in a match which saw JWU outshoot Curry 19-2.

Davies and junior Sophia Warburton led all student-athletes with four shots apiece. Freshman goalkeeper Kyla Stamilio needed to make just one save to backstop the Wildcats to their third shutout of the season.
