Rayne Millett and sophomore
Ava Gaudette scored goals for the JWU (Providence) field hockey team in a 2-0 win over the University of Hartford Saturday afternoon in Conference of New England action on Senior Day at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
Juniors
Ava Pontes and
Emily Downing, along with senior
Emma Ferrara, all collected assists for the Wildcats (7-5, 3-2 CNE), who outshot the Hawks 30-1.
Gaudette scored the only goal JWU needed 1:37 into the second quarter off a corner started by Downing. Gaudette took a pass from Pontes and let go of a shot that found the far left corner.
In the third, Millett one-timed a pass from Ferrara past the Hartford keeper to double the Wildcats lead. Sophomore
Susannah Brown finished the contest with a game-high seven shots for JWU.
Prior to the start of the match, the Wildcats honored seniors Ferrara,

Samantha Blahut,

Rebecca Johnson for their contributions to the program.
