SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Sophomore
Sophia Brea scored a pair of goals for the JWU (Providence) women's ice hockey team in a 5-5 tie at St. Catherine's University Friday night in non-conference action at Drake Arena.
Freshman
Kailin Kane added a goal and an assist and eight different student-athletes were credited with an assist as the Wildcats moved to 4-6-1 on the season with the draw. Sophomore

Jordan Hopping also found the back of the net for JWU, which received 22 saves from freshman netminder
Katelyn Cardoso.
The visitors led 2-1 after 20 minuets of play behind goals from Kane and Hopping 2:09 apart late in the first. Brea's second of the season in the second helped JWU close the stanza tied at three.
JWU and St. Catherine's traded goals in the third with Davignon staking the Wildcats to a 4-3 lead just 87 seconds into the period. After the 'other' Wildcats tied the game at four with 5:35 remaining in regulation, Brea's second of the night at 15:30 gave JWU a 5-4 lead. St. Catherine's forced OT following a goal with 3:02 on the clock, and the visitors outshot the home team 3-2 in the extra session.

Marissa Lafferty won 10-of-18 at the face-off dot (55.6 pct.) and senior
Reese Middendorf was credited with two blocked shots.
