PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Senior Josh Zangerle scored a game-high 18 points for the JWU (Providence) men's basketball team in an 81-65 loss to Albertus Magnus College Tuesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) at the Wildcat Center.

The Wappingers Falls, New York native went 7-of-8 from the charity stripe in 30 minutes of action for the Wildcats, who also received 18 points off the bench from freshman Roel Figueroa – his seventh double-digit scoring effort of the season. Figueroa went 12-of-13 from the line while junior Izaiah Shaw-Glen netted 11 points (4-of-4 FT).

The Falcons shot 40 percent from the field – including 38 percent from downtown (8-of-24) – and turned 27 turnovers into 26 points. The visitors saw four student-athletes hit double-figures in scoring, led by Deivone Tanksley with 21 points.

JWU held a 38-32 lead late in the first half before Albertus Magnus scored 16 of the next 24 points to build a 44-38 halftime lead. The Falcons went up by 14 nine minutes into the second half (59-45) and stretched their lead to 18 with 6:47 remaining (69-51).
