PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman and reigning Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Basketball Rookie of the Week
Brianne Foley was one of four JWU (Providence) student-athletes in double-figures as she put up 19 points and 10 rebounds in an 86-66 win over Anna Maria Saturday afternoon at the Wildcat Center.

Grace Jaffray also racked up a double-double with 21 points and 10 boards to go with three steals and three dimes as the Wildcats improved to 13-2 on the season (4-1 GNAC). Freshman
Isabella Suero knocked down five triples and finished with 17 points and five rebounds while sophomore
Alexa Lora filled the stat sheet with 11 points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
JWU shot 40 percent from the field – including 13-of-36 from downtown (36 percent) – and converted 18 Anna Maria turnovers into 19 points. The Wildcats also dominated the glass, outrebounded the visitors 54-50 behind 11 from junior
Mikayla Caruso.
The Wildcats – who led by five after one (20-15) and 15 at the break (45-30) – held the lead for all but 53 seconds of the contest. They opened up their largest lead of the game (26 points) following a layup from Caruso midway through the fourth.
Freshmen
Gabriela D'Ambrosio picked up six points, two steals, and two rebounds in 12 minutes while classmate
Mia Cruz tallied five assists, three steals, two rebounds, and two points over 16 minutes.
