PAWTUCKET, R.I. – Freshman
Grace Adams scored her team-leading sixth goal of the season for the JWU (Providence) women's hockey team in a 3-0 win over Anna Maria College Friday evening in non-conference action at Lynch Arena.
Junior
Kylie O'Keefe racked up a goal and an assist for the Wildcats (7-7-1), who have won two-straight and three of their last four. Freshman
Jordan Hopping handed out a pair of assists and classmate
Katelyn Cardoso turned aside 12 shots to record her second collegiate shutout and move to 5-2-1.
Adams scored the only goal JWU would need 4:45 into the first with a wrister that found the top right corner of the net. In the second, freshman
Kailin Kane jammed a puck into the net at the left post to make it 2-0 before O'Keefe added an empty-netter with 24 seconds remaining in regulation.
The Wildcats outshot the AMCats 44-12. No penalties were called during the contest.
