STANDISH, Maine – The JWU (Providence) men's basketball team was defeated by St. Joseph's (ME) 92-64 Wednesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Harry Alfond Center.

Chris Botolino. Duke was credited with a team-high five steals.
The Monks outrebounded the Wildcats 55-28 – including 19-7 on the offensive glass – and shot 46 percent from the field (36-of-78), collecting assists on 30 of those buckets. The home team saw five student-athletes hit double-figures in scoring, led by Julian Llopiz and Silvano Ismail with 16 points each.
The Wildcats trailed by 18 at halftime (47-29) as the Monks knocked down eight 3-pointers and shot 49 percent. The visitors were unable to cut their deficit to single digits in the second half.
