Kailin Kane scored goals for the JWU (Providence) women's ice hockey team in a 3-2 overtime loss at the University of Southern Maine Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at USM Ice Arena.

Leah White turned aside 21 shots and also earned a secondary assist, and senior captain
Reese Middendorf and sophomore
Sophia Brea each registered an assist as the Wildcats moved to 5-7-1 on the season. JWU went 1-for-5 on the PP and killed off all three Huskies chances with the extra attacker.
The Wildcats trailed 1-0 after 20 minutes and pulled even 5:57 into the second on Kane's fifth goal of the season. Late in the third, the visitors found themselves behind by one when Barry's power-play marker with two minutes remaining in regulation sent the game to overtime, where the Huskies ended the game at 2:38.
JWU outshot USM 30-24 and won 33-of-62 draws (53.2 pct.) behind a 16-of-21 performance from junior
Zoe Tow (77 pct.).
