JWU leaves Rochester with 3-1 win over Kangaroos

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The JWU (Providence) women's volleyball team rebounded from a 3-1 loss to Nazareth to defeat SUNY Canton by a score of 3-1 Saturday afternoon in non-conference action on the campus of Nazareth University.

Golden Flyers 3, Wildcats 1 (25-16, 17-25, 25-20, 25-16)
Graduate student Peyton Oliver recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs. Freshman Bailey Koopman added six kills and six blocks while junior Sierra Nausieda tallied a team-leading 15 kills and freshman Nevaeh Arnold compiled 14 assists, four kills, and four digs. Freshman Finleigh Benkwitt was credited with five kills, four digs, and three blocks.

Wildcats 3, Kangaroos 1 (25-12, 11-25, 25-13, 25-16)
Freshman Annie Jerome made her collegiate debut and racked up eight kills and four digs for JWU. Oliver led the squad with 10 kills to go with seven digs, Arnold notched 17 assists, seven kills, and six digs, and freshman Skylar Winchester posted seven kills, six digs, and six aces. Freshman Sophia Diphilippo dished out 18 assists and Nausieda added another 14 digs.
