PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) women's volleyball team was dealt a 3-0 loss by Suffolk University Thursday night in non-conference action at the Wildcat Center. The Rams won 25-17, 25-22, and 25-22.
Graduate student
Peyton Oliver paced the Wildcats offensively with nine kills – five of which came in the second set – while freshman
Bailey Koopman finished with seven and classmate
Nevaeh Arnold tallied six. Arnold and freshman
Skylar Winchester teamed up to hand out 25 assists.
Defensively, junior
Sierra Nausieda registered a match-high 18 digs and Winchester notched 10. Junior
Ajie Jagne, meanwhile, picked up three of JWU's seven blocks.
Jagne notched a team-high three kills in the first set before Arnold threw down three in the second set. In the third, Koopman added four more kills, Arnold dished out five assists, Nausieda was credited with eight digs, and Winchester collected seven digs.
