Cardinals defeat Wildcats in four sets

PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The JWU (Providence) women's volleyball team saw its four-match win streak come to a halt with a 3-1 loss at St. John Fisher Friday night in non-conference action at the Varsity Gym. The Cardinals rebounded from a 25-20 loss in the first set to win the next three by scores of 25-19, 25-23, and 25-23.

Graduate student Peyton Oliver led all student-athletes with 18 kills (.485 hitting pct.) to go with three aces as the Wildcats moved to 6-7 on the season. Junior Sierra Nausieda collected a match-high 15 digs while freshman and reigning Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNACO) Rookie of the Week Nevaeh Arnold filled the stat sheet with 17 assists, six digs, three kills, and a pair of service aces.

A pair of freshmen – Finleigh Benkwitt and Skylar Winchester – were each credited with four kills for a Wildcat squad which posted a hitting pct. of .185.
