PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) women's soccer team was defeated by No. 4 MIT 4-0 in non-conference action Thursday night at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Carly McCrumb and
Leah Bragaw each played 45:00 in goal for the Wildcats (5-1-0) and finished with three saves apiece. Arianna Doss and Maeve Sullivan each scored twice for the Engineers, who improved to 5-2-0 on the season.
Doss opened the scoring at 12:54 when she knocked a ball that was behind McCrumb into the net. Sullivan's first collegiate goal 22 minutes later doubled the lead. Doss made it 3-0 with a breakaway goal 2:01 into the second half before Sullivan capped the scoring at 78:34.
JWU sophomore
Sophia Warburton led all student-athletes with three shots. MIT outshot the Wildcats 13-7.
