Davies registers hat trick in win over Sharks

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman Jamie Davies picked up her first collegiate hat trick in a 9-0 win over Simmons University Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

A total of 11 student-athletes recorded at least one point for the Wildcats, who remained unbeaten on the season at 5-0-0 (4-0-0 GNAC). Senior Angelina Oliveira chipped in with a goal and an assist for JWU, which saw freshman Rylee Roberts collect her first collegiate goal and sophomore Grace Sheehan notch a pair of assists.

Davies scored a pair of first-half goals – both of which were assisted by Sheehan – and JWU led 4-0 at the break. She polished off the hat trick 2:13 into the second half before assisting on Oliveira's first goal of 2024 which made it 5-0 at 49:27.

Senior Katherine Dufour and junior MacKenna Renaud also picked up their first goals of the season while three goalies – seniors Carly McCrumb and Leah Bragaw, and freshman Morgan Presby – combined to post the team's fourth shutout of the season.
