Emily DeRoehn broke a scoreless tie with a penalty kick goal early in the second half to propel the JWU (Providence) women's soccer team to a 2-0 win at Colby-Sawyer College Wednesday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action.
Freshman
Marisa Krosky added an insurance marker at 74:56 as the Wildcats remained perfect on the season at 4-0-0 (3-0-0 GNAC). JWU outshot the Chargers 10-1 and junior
Leah Bragaw made one save to improve to 2-0-0 on the season.
Following a scoreless first half in which the Wildcats outshot the home team 3-1, DeRoehn converted her second penalty kick of the season to put her squad in front 1-0. Krosky added an upper 90 goal 20 minutes later to pad the lead.
