Wildcast best Blue Jays on Senior Day, 15-5

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Junior Madeleine Gould racked up eight points for the JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse team in a 15-5 win over the University of Saint Joseph (CT) on Senior Day Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Senior Maris DIBeneditto struck for five goals for the Wildcats (7-3, 5-0 GNAC), who also received two goals from juniors Neely Connor and Isabella Nugent. The loss was the first in conference play for the Blue Jays (7-4, 5-1 GNAC).

JWU led 6-3 at halftime behind two goals from DiBeneditto and three points (1-2-3) from Gould. The Blue Jays climbed to within two (7-5) midway through the third before the Wildcats closed the contest on an 8-0 run.

The Wildcats forced 25 turnovers – including three by sophomore Izzy Babb – and won 14-of-23 draw controls, highlighted by seven from Gould. Junior Emma Glyman recorded six saves to improve to 7-3 on the season.
