Women's lacrosse hurts Pride for fifth win in a row

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Sophomore Izzy Babb racked up five points in a 15-4 win for the JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse team over Regis (MA) College Tuesday evening in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Senior Maris DiBeneditto scored a team-high five goals and added an assist for the Wildcats (6-3, 4-0 GNAC), who extended their win streak to four by forcing 30 turnovers and outshooting the Pride 36-9. Junior and reigning GNAC Player of the Week Madeleine Gould registered three points (2-1-3) while classmate Mila Kuilan picked up a hat trick and dished out an assist.

Defensively, senior Katie Sloan forced a team-high three turnovers while Gould won five draw controls and junior Neely Connor notched three of her own. Junior netminder Emma Glyman turned aside three shots to earn her sixth win of 2024.
