McInnis nets five goals in 13-6 win over Falcons

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Junior Donny McInnis scored five goals for the JWU (Providence) men's lacrosse team in a 13-6 win over Albertus Magnus College Wednesday night in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Freshman Jack Davis added five points on three goals and two assists for the Wildcats, who improved to 9-4 on the season (7-1 GNAC). Senior Hayden Haldane netted a pair of third-period markers while freshman Jacob Graham racked up three points (1-2-3) and graduate student Mike Catuosco won 17-of-19 face-offs and finished with 15 ground balls.

The Wildcats opened the second half with seven unanswered goals – including two from both McInnis and Haldane – to turn a 5-4 halftime deficit into an 11-5 lead. Davis and graduate student Greg Centeio added fourth-quarter goals to seal the win.

JWU outshot the Falcons 54-21 and forced 24 turnovers. Senior Andrew Carroll was credited with four ground balls and caused a turnover while Centeio, junior Kyle Marcinko, and freshman Jake Inzirillo each notched three GB's.
