Men's lacrosse stumbles at Dean, 15-10

FRANKLIN, Mass. – Freshman Jack Davis collected five points for the JWU (Providence) men's lacrosse team in a 15-10 loss at Dean College Saturday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at Grant Field.

Davis scored twice and added three assists while classmate Jacob Graham and junior Donny McInnis each scored twice for the Wildcats, who slipped to 9-5 on the season (7-2 GNAC). The Bulldogs won 18-of-29 face-offs and put 24 shots on net, compared to 17 for the visitors.

JWU trailed 9-7 at halftime behind a pair from Davis and goals from Graham, McInnis, seniors Hayden Haldane and Brent Rickett, and junior Kyle Marcinko. Three-straight goals from McInnis, Graham, and freshman Jack Donnelly brought the Wildcats to within one (11-10) early in the fourth before the Bulldogs scored four in a span of 4:16 to solidify the win.

Graduate student Mike Catuosco paced JWU with eight ground balls and also caused a pair of turnovers. Senior Chris April stopped nine shots in goal while Donnelly, senior Andrew Carroll, and freshman Quinn Madden each collected two GB's.
